INFORMATION

Prepped Hair: Please come to your appointment with hair 110% Dry. We do not offer blow-out services for pageants. In the event you show up with wet hair you will be asked to dry your own hair and then return when it is ready to be styled. Your styling time will ultimately be cut short because we can not shorten anyone else's time to accommodate your situation. Please come with your hair prepped for the style you are wanting. For example, if you know you want to wear your hair with natural curls do not arrive with your hair blown out or straightened. If you would like to wear your hair straight, do not arrive with it full of product and with natural curls. Your hair will be styled in the way your hair was prepped for upon arrival for your appointment so plan accordingly.

 

Whether to Wash Hair: In most cases we prefer hair clean, and blowdried with root lifting mousse, spray, or gel. If you are instructed to NOT WASH your hair in between appointments please listen to our expert stylists. It is because we do not have the time to start from scratch, or it is because your hair will hold better when not cleaned. *If you go swimming you are responsible for returning with your hair prepped and ready for styling. If you get your hair wet in the shower or from swimming after being instructed not to wet your hair, we may not have time to create the style you want, and will need to style your hair best for the situation with the time we have. In that event, you will need to be flexible and understanding knowing that you made the choice to not respect our artists' instructions.

 

Hair Extensions & Hair Pieces: Hair must be provided by client, pre-cut and colored if necessary. Hair must be removed from any packaging and ready to use. Please tell the stylist whether extensions are synthetic or Remy human hair. *Texas Glam Squad stylists are not responsible for the damage of any extensions provided by the client. It is the clients' duty to inform stylist of any hair instructions pertaining the extensions. (Hair Extension placement and trimming is only available for select events and must be done in advance of your appointment and paid for before services are rendered.)

Schedules, Times, and Appointments: Clients must be paid in full the week before the pageant in order to be included in the schedules. Styling schedules will be sent out before the pageant once a final contestant headcount is obtained. Appointment times are set in accordance of what time each contestant needs to be ready: For example: by age division, competition category, and/or whether or not a contestant is participating in a particular area of competition. Clients are NOT allowed to select their own time slots and should plan to be present and available for the entire time slot assigned. Schedules are planned out with the group as a whole taken into consideration. Styling will only take place during breaks or when styling is allowed by the pageant. Please be on time for your scheduled appointment. If you are late, your styling will not go over another client's appointment and your time will be cut short. If your styling appointment clashes with a coaching session, we make no guarantees that we can change your time slot. Again, schedules are prepared taking the group into consideration as a whole. 

*In the event pageant rehearsals and/or events have a last minute schedule change, we are not responsible for their time change and will modify our schedules to the best of our ability to accommodate these changes to make sure everyone is styled on-time. We need everyone to be flexible and able to adjust to any last minute changes when needed.
